City Tours

The capital city, located in east-central Poland, is not only worth visiting in and of itself, but also makes the perfect starting point for excursions. It is known as the “Phoenix City”, as throughout history it has survived many wars and conflicts. It was almost completely destroyed during World War II and rebuilt from rubble. The Historic Center of Warsaw is one of UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Nowadays it is ranked among the most liveable cities in Central Europe.

Łódź is recognized worldwide for the National Film School, where Andrzej Wajda and Roman Polański took their first steps in the film industry. It was once a small town, which grew rapidly due to the development in the cloth industry. During World War II Łódź was renamed Litzmannstadt and the big Jewish population was forced into the Łódź Ghetto. Łódź experienced prosperity in the socialist era and decline after the fall of communism. It is a city of contrasts, which has witnessed social inequality.
